Teresa & Leo, una boda y muchas letras | Teresa & Leo. A wedding, a lot of words

(English version below)

Teresa & Leo were married last summer at the Palacio Monte Miramar (Málaga, Spain).  Leo is from Buenos Aires and Teresa is from Málaga, the couple have lived in different countries and even if they decided to get married in the bride's city, it was a very international wedding with guests who came from many countries.

They wanted a modern and fun wedding and they gave us clear guidelines, they show us several references: a photocall they liked, some types, a color palette dominated by orange and chalkboard gray, some phrases and a portrait of them, drawn by Paula Bonet, that we used because it's really beautiful.

We started with the design of the invitations and, after that, we created the rest of the details and decor. Since the bride is a translator and she works with words, we placed great importance to the letters, we draw chalkboards with phrases with a special meaning for the couple and hanged them on lampposts around the tables, along with pearly orange banners to give the message a festive touch.

We placed thank you cards on the table for each guest, a very emotional sitting that the guests enjoyed,  we customized the menu and the table numbers, and did some directories where people could find their place in the tables.

The photocall turned into a small wall dedicated to Teresa and Leo... the lyrics of a song they like, their hometowns, their wedding date... a ephemeral memory that will be captured in every super-funny photos shot during the dance.

It was a pleasure working on this wedding because it was quite different for our work line and it was a challenge for us, we loved the result and would make it tomorrow again if necessary, guys, you want to marry again?

Congratulations, handsome couple

Una comunión moderna | A modern first communion

(english version below)

The candy stand was a delight for all the guests
Barritas de chocolate y cupcakes personalizados para la ocasión | Cupcakes and chocolate bars where customized for the occasion
| Even a low table with drinks for the children so they could serve their own glasses: cherry, orange, apple and lemon soda for everyone!
La tarta y los cupcakes a juego | The matching cake and cupcakes
The gifts for the children, buttons for everyone and pencils for the little ones at the party

El puesto de dulces que causó sensación | The candy stand that caused sensation

Pablo is a very restless and funny kid, he's at that age where you think that girls are dumb and the kisses are disgusting, yuck!
He likes what all kids like at his age: running, video games, playing football, cycling... but corny things... corny things are nowhere to be found on his favorite things.
His parents decided to give priority to the enjoyment of children and they choose a playground to celebrate the event, so when we were commissioned to decorate their 1st communion we were hundred percent sure about one thing, it should be a celebration matching him and his "9 years old kid things".

We assume that a 1st communion is an important and formal event, but a celebration for a child should be fun and a little less serious, so we came to the conclusion that vibrant colors like orange and light blue would be the right option, even if we had to choose a nautical theme because Pablo was dressed like a sailor (which is typical for the spanish communions). We gave a modern twist to the design so he could be comfortable with his 1st communion, and we can assure you that he was.

We're going to show you some the details we prepared for the occasion

Mimosas como inspiración | Golden wattle is the inspiration

(English version below)

The golden wattle tree ("mimosa" is the popular name of this tree in Spain, that word means "cuddly" in english), gives a flower that we love, it's a kind of small pompom with soft appearance, when they bloom, the flowers make the trees look yellow and pompous, we assume that's why is called mimosa popularly, because it makes you want to hug them.

Blanca's birthday it's in spring, she is a very "mimosa" girl, so we thought this beautiful flower will combine perfectly with the event, we made for her family birthday snack a celebration in a very spring-like yellow with touches of light blue, uncluttered, simple and fun at the same time, a few sweets, different kinds of cookies, cupcakes and a cream cake, everything perfectly set up in the terrace to enjoy her 27 years entry without ostentation but in a good taste.

A small afternoon snack with a special touch.

(english version below)

When Toñi contacted and told us the idea to celebrate her wedding on the beach, we knew that her wedding would be very special, the sea in the background, the blue sky, the sand under the white dress...

It was held at the Candado Beach, and the bride chose a coastal reminiscent decor:  bluffs, shells, starfish and blue for the details.

The fact that we didn't use common flowers gave them a special prominence in decoration. For this occasion we choose several types of crass flowers that gave a natural touch to the wedding and coordinate perfectly with the casual beach style that the couple was looking for.

The civil wedding was held on the sand, we placed a wooden arch decorated with tulle and several starfish and shells, the carpet was chosen in blue to stand out  from the rest of decoration that was white: chairs, the benches for the couple and the main table, which was decorated with a path in blue stripes matching with the photocall and the candy cart that was placed in the room where the dance would be held later.

This wedding was full of special details; rice was not delivered in bags or packets, was given in paper boats distributed among the guests. Partnerships were not on a cushion, were placed them in a beautiful starfish, property of the bride, with ribbons that we made specifically for the ceremony... everything have the required maritime style, like the image, in which included a heart-shaped sailor's knot or the striped fabric with we decorated the candy cart and the photocall background. This photocall had a very beach and retro props with floats, brimmed hats and beach balls with which they surely had a great time.

At the end of the day, it was a pleasure to work for Toñi and Pablo because apart from being a lovely couple, they gave us the opportunity to decorate a very special wedding. For us, being from Málaga, a wedding in the afternoon at the beach has a color that is as pure magic as their life together will be from now on.

La boda de Julieta y Christian Vol.II | Julieta and Christian's wedding Vol.II

(English version below)

In the previous post we show you part of Julieta and Christian's wedding, specifically the area where the civil ceremony and the concert was held, and the dance floor.

Today we'll show you the decoration for the area where dinner was served, a lovely garden with huge trees decorated with paper lanterns, small garden lights, candles, flowers and very, very romantic decorative corners.

The centerpieces were heart-shaped wooden plates decorated with different kinds of glass jars, to which we add candles, flowers and aquamarine stones, each centerpiece had it's table number matching with the directory, this was a funny way to tell the guests where they were located: you look for your name then you take your label and find your table in the garden.

The place was huge so we decorate a few corners with very romantic things, a hand-forge and rickety chair, also we filled a wooden table and a garden cart with flowers to add a bit color, when it was night we turned on the lights and light all the candles giving the garden a magic touch.

A fairy tale wedding where there couldn't be other end than the classic... and they lived happily ever after.
